Massage
Zen O’Connor is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Doula, with a passion for helping burnt out caregivers recharge. She offers therapeutic focused massage, for pain relief and mental health, as well as Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, or CFT. CFT is a clothed, relaxed modality that blends craniosacral therapy and myofacial release, for a gentle unwinding technique that helps the body integrate emotional trauma stored in the fascia. Through this fascial unwinding, powerful emotional release or new breakthroughs in talk therapy may occur, making this a perfect pairing with talk therapy with one of our compassionate counselors.
Zen is trained to work with all ages with CFT, including newborns and infants, and this bodywork can assist in proper cranial development and help with issues like latching/tongue ties, neurodivergent emotional dysregulation, sleep disturbances, etc. in infants and children. With both traditional massage and CFT, Zen brings intuitive skill, grace, and compassion to the table.
Zen also owns Ducky’s Deli, bringing clean and conscious, paleo meals to the community, as a way to support our whole health journey when many folks do not have the time or spoons for carefully crafted cooking. All offerings are grain-free and dairy-free, many vegan options too. Stay tuned for Ducky’s Deli food coming to Monarch Integrative Care, making it easy to grab a bite that aligns with your holistic wellness goals!

Participants should dress comfortably. Eye masks will be provided. All attendees will be reclined on the floor (chairs provided if the floor is not accessible for some bodies), surrounded by or “bathed in” the soothing sounds of crystal bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, drums, chimes and other ancient healing instruments.
Please bring:
- A yoga mat (to place over studio mats for added cushion)
- 1-2 blankets (to use as props and cover up with)
- Pillows or other props to make your spot “nest” cozy

- Let your eyes close to better focus on the internal experience.

- Listen to the sounds and guided words carefully. Pay attention to what makes you feel calm and relaxed. Notice how certain sounds affect your emotions.
- If you find that you are getting bored during a sound bath, change your breathing, focus or body position.
- If your sessions does not include a guided visualization, you may find it helpful to visualize yourself surrounded by bright colored light.
- Afterwards, take time to integrate and reflect on your experience. How did it feel? What was your overall impression? Did anything happen that surprised your?
